Please go and delete all the partition if any exist and restart PC Disk Clone. Moreover, your target disk selected in step (2) shown in the picture should contain ZERO partitions. If you are upgrading or downgrading your computer hard drive to another one, the new hard drive has to be the same interface as the old one, otherwise your system on the new hard disk won't boot due to the change of hard drive interface.
When system recovery is needed, set up your computer to boot from the recovery cd, and start your PC Disk Clone X from the boot cd, use the Image to Disk function to recover entire hard drive in a couple of minutes.
Always remember to create a bootable recovery cd/dvd or usb stick in advance using PC Win Boot. If you only want to backup your hard drive, then you can image your entire hard drive that contains everything including the Windows system into image files.
